The Story Behind SkillCo

After graduating from college, Steve the founder of SkillCo quickly realized that the degree he earned didn’t fully reflect the skills he had actually gained, nor did it prepare him for what employers were truly looking for. That experience opened his eyes to a major gap between education and the workforce. In today’s world, employers care less about the diploma and more about the skills a candidate can demonstrate.

That realization led to the creation of SkillCo, a platform designed to bridge that gap. SkillCo tracks the real-world skills students develop through their coursework and automatically builds them into a Skill-Based Resume, helping increase their chances of graduating with confidence and getting hired after college.
